And comic Nikki Glaser isn’t just sticking to touching. Her upcoming show, Not Safe With Nikki Glaser, premiering in February, covers the sexual spectrum, including touching, fingering, and fucking in a way that is both bright and blunt. She hosted a preview Thursday night at the Nerdmelt Ballroom, and got down to business on everyone’s dirty business.
As immature as it may sound to combine comedy and sex, Glaser finds a perfect balance: she approaches her material with a bubbly disposition, but remains sharp enough to pop our preconceptions of sensuality and romance. With the help of an unabashedly sexual panel, she delves into modern sexuality, with topics ranging from fetishes to the most popular porn searches.
Yes, it does get a bit uncomfortable, but that’s exactly what made the show exciting. It strives to bring the audience out of their shells to frankly examine concepts they might usually avoid, like whether or not your parents partake in “sexy-time” (sorry for the visual). Luckily, Glaser’s sunny personality keeps the audience at ease, even when discussing “step-mom” tags on Pornhub.
