Check out MOVES at the Montalbán – from 3/15-3/17/19

Coming for three nights at the Montalbán – three performances showcasing the finest talent in the worlds of dance and choreography.

Put on by Break the Floor Productions in partnership with Hollywood’s historic Montalbán Theatre, MOVES at the Montalbán celebrates dance in its many fluid forms. The festival features work by famed choreographers in the fields of contemporary, tap, and many other styles of movement.

Each day of the festival presents a different choreographer or troupe, all of whom received the prestigious Capezio A.C.E Award for outstanding choreography. On Friday, former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Nick Young brings his Rhythmatic tap company to the stage. Saturday features Entity Contemporary Dance, who fuse contemporary dance with elements of hip-hop and jazz for a dazzling effect. Finally, Sunday’s performance showcases celebrity dancer and choreographer Lukas McFarlane.

Even after the curtain falls, attendees may get the chance to attend an exclusive Rooftop After Party featuring talent from the show as well as additional live performances. It’s a fun, slightly casual take on “the show must go on.”

A long time in the works, MOVES stemmed from Break the Floor’s desire to showcase the diverse and eclectic talent of LA’s dance scene. “We’ve wanted to create a dance festival here, in Los Angeles, for years,” says Break the Floor producer Nikole Vallins, “and we’re thrilled that the recent winners of the Capezio A.C.E. Awards will be able to show off their talents to all of the dance fans in LA. Presenting this festival at the iconic Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood just adds to the amazing opportunity for these outstanding choreographers and dancers.”

Tickets and VIP options are available here, so be sure to make moves before MOVES completely sells out!
